Education
Are you an educator interested in making live theatre and other creative arts exciting and accessible to your students? So are we, and we’d love to work with you to provide unique classroom and theatregoing experiences.
Collaboration with Trent University
Periodically, students enrolled in their final year in the English program at Trent University will have the opportunity to take ENGL4857H: The Play’s the Thing!, a practice-based course supervised by Professor Andrew Loeb that offers students the opportunity to learn about producing live theatre in conjunction with The Electric City Players. Details will be available in the Trent University Academic Calendar each spring.
Interested in hearing about the student experience? Check out Mikayla Stoodley’s article about the course, including interviews with the Fall 2024 group that worked on Macbeth. You can also find Thomas Payne’s documentary about the making of Macbeth on our YouTube page, or check out the beautiful collaborative study guide for Twelfth Night prepared by the students in the Fall 2025 iteration of the course.
